In this blog, we’ll take a closer look at 10 of the top trending festival hairstyles for this season.

Braids:

Braids have always been a popular trending festival hairstyles, and this year is no exception. From French braids to fishtail braids, there are endless possibilities for incorporating braids into your festival look.

In the video tutorial above, watch how I create a textured and boho look using a plethora of tiny 3 strand braids. It is such and easy way to style your hair and to me, it screams boho. you can customize it based on the size of your braids, but the smaller and more you do, the more boho it will be!

I love even adding some fishtail braids in there because it gives it even more texture. Finish it off with the 3 barrel waver for lots of volume.

Beach Waves:

Beach waves are a classic festival hairstyle that never goes out of style. This look is all about effortless, natural-looking waves that are reminiscent of a day spent at the beach. I love this style for any occasion, but it will look stunning at a music festival!

Make sure you use some sort of 1 inch iron to create those textures waves, and alternate the curl so they don’t lay of top of each other! Finish it off with Kenra Dry Texture Spray or LOMA Texture and Finishing Spray for some extra grit.

Top Knots:

Top knots are a stylish and practical festival hairstyle that can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. This look is all about pulling your hair up into a high bun on the top of your head, with some loose strands framing your face for a relaxed, carefree vibe.

To spice up this look, make sure you ask for some hair tinsel at you next appointment so you can sparkle in the desert sun!

Boho Chic:

For those who love a boho-chic aesthetic, there are plenty of festival hairstyles to choose from. From loose, beachy waves to messy braids and tousled updos, there are endless possibilities for creating a bohemian-inspired look that’s perfect for Coachella.

In the YouTube video, I created a super cute bubble braid look that screams boho chic. It is super simple and is great for keeping your hair put of your face in the sun! Make sure you have cute little cuffs or bows to hide any elastics.

Glitter Roots:

If you want to add some sparkle to your festival look, glitter roots are a fun and playful way to do it. This trend involves applying glitter to your roots, creating a shimmering effect that’s sure to turn heads.

This is a festival staple, it is so cute and it will hide any dirty hair! Definitely add this to your festival hair look book.

Pastel Hair:

For those who want to make a bold statement with their festival hairstyle, pastel hair is a must-try trend. From lavender and pink to blue and platinum, there are so many beautiful pastel shades to choose from, and they can add a touch of whimsy and fantasy to any festival look.

Make sure you shop the Moroccanoil Color Depositing conditioner to create a beautiful pastel look that will wash out just in time to return to normal life! Or if you want to keep the party going, grab a full size conditioner and add it into your routine! Shop Color Depositing conditioner here!

Textured Ponytail:

By Day 3, you are sure to want your hair out of your face. In the YouTube video, I created a sleek but textured high ponytail to ensure your comfort while you enjoy all of the headliners. To spice up a regular high pony, I added some cute rhinestones on the top of her head.

I personally like to keep some hair around the face to give it more of a boho vibe, but if you want more of a slicked back look, just brush all of the hair back. From there, you can add the rhinestones as you see fit!

Space Buns:

Space buns are a playful and quirky festival hairstyle that’s perfect for those who love a little bit of whimsy. This look involves creating two buns on either side of your head, and adding some glitter or other embellishments for a fun and festive touch.

Mermaid Hair:

Mermaid hair is all about creating a dreamy, ethereal look that’s perfect for festivals. From iridescent hair colors to flowing, beachy waves, there are so many ways to channel your inner mermaid with your festival hairstyle.

Again, to really give yourself mermaid hair, what’s better than adding tinsel? We have so many different colors to choose from, so make sure to match it to your planned outfit! Plus, tinsel can curl or straighten so it will not melt under your hot tool!

Clip in:

If you want to add some extra length for your Festival Hairstyles, adding some clip ins is a great way to make your hair more full without the commitment! You can color match your hair to your natural color, and give the illusion of long hair! Or you can even add it to make your ponytail more full

No matter which festival hairstyle you choose, remember that the most important thing is to have fun and express yourself. So go ahead and experiment with different colors, textures, and styles until you find the perfect look for you. Happy festival season!
