The Ultimate Wedding Day Bridal Beauty Checklist

Congratulations beautiful! In this blog, I am going over the ultimate bridal checklist for your wedding day, so you don’t forget anything.

Your big day is almost here! We know you have been planning this for months upon months, perfecting every last detail.

While we can’t help you fix the awkward seating arrangements or give our opinion on white or eggshell tablecloths, we can make sure you have everything you need on your beauty checklist! In this blog, I am going over the ultimate bridal checklist for your wedding day, so you don’t forget anything.

A bridal trial is very important:

For the stylist, a bridal trial/in depth consultation is very important. It may not seem necessary if you just doing a simple up-style, I assure you it is. The trial is not only a way for you to test if a style will look good on you but it is a way to see if you and your stylist click.

Also, your stylist will be able to learn the texture of your hair, what you like and don’t like, if your hair holds curl, etc. These are big factors in making your look perfect for your special day.

It is also important to see how long it will take for your stylist to complete your look, so your big day can go off without a hitch.

Make Sure You Have an Accurate and Realistic Reference Picture:

When it comes to updos and bridal hairstyles, it may not be as easy as you think. A lot of times, what you see on Instagram is not what it really looks like in real life.

There is a lot of prep that goes into a bridal inspiration photo, so beware of pre-made hair pieces and layers of long extensions. These factors are something that you have to consider when choosing a style.

It may not look the same on you if you do not have the same texture or thickness as the model in the photo.

Styling Products:

For the most part, your stylist should provide the products they will be using in your hair. However, if you have any specific products that you would like, bring them for your stylist to use on your hair.

Let’s Talk Accessories:

The extra little touch of an accessory can really make or break a look. If you are wanting to include accessories in your hair or your bridesmaid’s hair, you are responsible to provide them, UNLESS your stylist includes accessories in the final price of the look.

It is important to test accessories in the hair before the big day (for you and your bridesmaids); if you are trying to figure out where the accessory should go, it could possibly ruin the look by taking it in and out the day of.

Bridal Trial: Makeup Edition:

Just like hair, a bridal trial/consultation for makeup is always a must. There are so many different looks that you could go for when doing a bridal look, so make sure you discuss all options with your MUA. You know what you like on your face and what you are not fond of.

The communication needs to be there. Let us know what you want! Sort of like the styling products, most of the artists will provide products.

If there are certain products you like, such as foundation and mascara, bring them! If you do bring your own products, beware of flashback (flashback is where your makeup reflects off of the flash in photos, therefore creating a dramatically white glow on your face).

Time Management:

You have to account for time in the morning for both hair and makeup. Make sure your coordinator is communicating with both your stylist and your MUA to figure out what time they should be there in the morning.

Each stylist is different, so make sure you ask both your stylist and MUA how long they think it may take for the whole bridal party.

Not properly planning your time can stress out the stylist and MUA … and I know you don’t want a rush job on your wedding day.

Bridesmaids:

There is always at least one bridesmaid who wants to do their own hair or makeup, totally fine!

However, you must note that if they do not want their hair or makeup done, it is much appreciated to not ask the stylist or MUA to “touch up” anything for them, as they were not accounted for in the time schedule.

By taking the time to fix them up, it will put the stylist and MUA behind schedule. Also, even though it is a touch-up, they would still need to pay (or at least tip) your stylists, as they will be using products (which cost money).

After fully completing you and your bridesmaids, if time permits, then the extra bridesmaids could be touched up.

Pricing:

Before you sit down in your stylists or MUA’s chair, make sure their prices are suitable for your budget. Please note that the price of your style may vary based on the length and texture of your hair. Note, A bridal trial is normally an extra fee, so be prepared to pay both the final price as well as the trial fee.

Overall, your stylist and MUA want to do everything they can to make your day extra special. By keeping all of these things in mind on the day of your wedding, it will surely be the most amazing wedding of all time! From all of us at Rebel Femme, congratulations beautiful!
