The Best Things You Can do for Yourself – Tips for Self Care

2020 mentality is so last year! Time to take care of you. In this blog, I go over some of my favorite tips for self care.

C’mon girl. It’s 2021. It’s time to take care of yourself! No more slacking. Last year is over and so is the old you. This is your sign to help improve yourself for the better! In this blog, I go over some of my favorite tips for self care.

Sometimes it is just nice to get out of the house and have a little “me time”. Book an appointment to get a professional blowout! You don’t have to book a crazy long service, sometimes just a relaxing shampoo and a voluminous blowout will work wonders on your overall mood and confidence.

Buy the thing you wanted:

You only live once! Buy those shoes, jewelry, or clothes that you want! Obviously within budget. You need to splurge on yourself every once in a while. You deserve it! We have a variety of fun things you can splurge on, such as professional hair care products, surprise beauty boxes and hand made bracelets!

Exercise:

I know, I know, this one is kind of a given. But it is still really important! Start small, take a lap or two around your block. Or walk down to your local restaurant to grab food instead of driving! While you’re doing this don’t miss out on the opportunity to catch up on Rebel Femme Podcast. Another one of my personal favorites is doing some squats during commercial breaks when I’m watching a show. Trust me, it burns!

Book a Massage or Facial:

You would be surprised about how much of a difference just a simple massage or facial can make. Once a month I would take some time out of my day or night and go get a facial or a massage and my mood would change dramatically. I would go from stressed out to totally relaxed.

Also, this can be classified as a “luxury” or “unnecessary service” but it’s all about what you make it. I went to my local beauty school and they give a luxury facial with professional products for half of the price. I would definitely recommend it!

Learn how to Cook:

Take this time to focus on a new hobby! You can learn how to cook delicious, healthy and inexpensive meals at home for you. It will make you feel accomplished and it could also give you comfort in knowing what you put in your body is good for you. This will play a big role in your mental health!

Nails:

Go get your paws and claws done! Go in with a cute reference photo and walk out with fresh nails. These little acts of love for yourself are really important in boosting your overall mental health. When you look good on the outside you feel good on the inside too!

Invest in good Hair Products:

When you have a good hair day, it will overall just be a good day. By using good, professional products that do not dry out your hair, you will more than likely have a good hair day! Invest in yourself. Check out Rebel Femme Shop for all of our professional products.
