Did you guys know its not good to wash your hair everyday? Although it may feel good for your scalp to be clean, your hair will not be happy. Our stylist recommend washing every 2-3 days if you can, but the longer you wait the better. Let me give you some of my favorite ways to hide dirty hair.
High Pony:
Personally, a high pony is one of my favorite go-to looks because it gives me some volume. I like to spray some texture spray at my roots before gathering all of the hair at the crown of my head. Once the pony is secure and I’m happy with how it looks, I tug at the roots to loosen it up and make it look a little messy.
Braids:
Braids are a perfect way to hide dirty hair. You can do a single braid or a double braid, and it will give you hair texture while hiding dirty hair. To get braids without flyaways, use Kenra Professional Texturizing Taffy for more control. It is also a great hairstyle to sleep on, because when you wake up you’ll have a beautiful wave that you can hide under a hat to get you one extra day.
Hats:
This is obviously one of the easiest ways to hide dirty hair, because it is totally hidden. From baseball caps to berets, hats are such a cute way to make dirty hair stylish. Pro Tip: you can always utilize your day-old curls, by refreshing the shine and reducing frizz with Olaplex No. 7.
Slick Back Bun:
When it’s the last last day, let that oil aide you! A slick back bun is super stylish and it shows off your beautiful face. Take a rat tail comb and make a clean, precise part wherever you feel comfortable. Then take your favorite gel and slick back your hair. Secure with a hair-tie and bobby pins.
Dry Shampoo:
So many options! Dry shampoo is great for hiding dirty hair because it sucks up the oil in your hair, giving a clean appearance. Dry shampoo is very versatile because it comes in many different forms. It’s great for the on-the-go girl!
